“NEVER TOO LATE FOR TRAINING”
“What I want everyone to understand is it is NEVER TOO LATE. I am certainly over 65 and truly overweight. I met Gary, and for the first month after my workouts, I went home so tired that I sat all afternoon on the couch. I did 10 minutes of cardio and 30 minutes with Gary and Joan, his assisting trainer. Months later, I worked up to 45 to 60 minutes of cardio. Since working with Gary, I’m now able to keep up better with my grandchildren. I lost 60 pounds and have clothes that fit again. I can now sit and fit in most chairs, and I’m able to drive my husband’s truck without moving the steering wheel. I am finally doing something for myself. I am worth it. My personal training team has given me hope.
In February of 2014, I missed a step and fell. It was very traumatic and I shattered a lot of bone in my hip. The doctor did as much damage as the fall itself just putting me back together again. I have to stress that without the strength training, I would have been in sorry shape. Because I was stronger from the training, my recovery went much better. I was able to pull myself up out of the hospital bed, which I wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise. And the physical therapists were surprised at how strong I already was. I’m still working on recovering completely and have Gary to thank for helping me do this for myself.
I would highly recommend Gary and AFC to anyone who wants to do something good for themselves and focus on their own needs, both physical and mental. Not children, job, or husband, but just for them. Thanks Gary!”
