31 Days to a Better Butt – Day 27 – Sprints

31 Days to a Better Butt - SprintsButt Fact: Glute researchers recently wrote, β€œIt appears that the human gluteus maximus is akin to a multifunction Swiss army knife.”

I’ve written on the many benefits of doing sprints in the form of running, cycling, or other forms of cardio. The most important thing to remember in doing any kind of HIIT (high intensity interval training) is to start carefully and advance slowly. Untrained individuals would be best served by building a solid base of cardio and strength training before adding the intensity of sprints to their program.

With that said, here is a link to my article on sprinting and here is a picture of the park staircase that I sprint up when I’m not injured and am able to sprint.

  1. Hi Joan! I’ve eliminated refined white flour and sugar from my diet. Pretty much everything fun except coffee. Next step is regular exercise. I used to go for a 3 mile walk and there were some stairs much like what you’ve shown. That was one of my favorite workouts and it literally got my butt into shape. πŸ™‚ Thanks for your post! Whitney
